The h'orst flood of record 1....as <br />experienced in l~J~l due to unusually heayy snohmelt with sip;nificant <br />rainfall on top of it. This flooding occurred along lIenson Creel" the <br />area in 'I"estion, and fJoocJ"d the business district of Lake Cit)- as <br />""II as the railroad )-ards. Both the m.micipaJ hater system and the <br />p0',-er and light syst"m here "ashed out. Since that time there ha,'e <br />heen nllmerous flood threats hhich due to the efforts of the local <br />communi t)- ha\-e heen contained Hi thin the creek charmels.
