Omaha District Office: Telegraphic or telecopier modifications <br />to or Withdrawals of previously mailed bids may be transmitted to the Omaha <br />District (OD) Message Center. <br /> <br />(1) For modifications or withdrawals by telegram, Western <br />Union should be furnished the following routing indicator: RUCDNNE/CDRUSAED <br />OMAHA NE. <br /> <br />(2) For modifications or withdrawals by telecopier, the OD <br />Message Center Telecopier access phone number is 402-221-3029. Telecopier <br />transmittals must be compatible with Xerox Telecopier. Telephone modifica- <br />tions or withdrawals, other than telecopier, will not be accepted. <br /> <br />b. Other Locations: Modifications to or withdrawals of previously <br />submitted bids should be transmitted to the place of bid opening shown on <br />page IB-I. <br /> <br />17. ARITHMETIC DISCREPANCIES: <br /> <br />a. For the purpose of initial evaluation of bids, the following <br />will be utilized in resolving arithmetic discrepancies found on the face of <br />the bidding schedule as submitted by bidders: <br /> <br />(1) Obviously misplaced decimal points will be corrected; <br /> <br />(2) In case of discrepancy between unit price and extended <br />price, the unit price will govern; <br /> <br />(3) Apparent errors in extension of unit prices will be <br />corrected; and <br /> <br />IB-7 <br />
