The letter to insurance agents must also tell them <br />that your communily has elevation certificates for recent construction; <br /> <br />2, If you nOlii)' organizations of instilutions and agencies, copies of the notifications <br />in their publications, The notice to insurance organizations must also tell them <br />that your community has elevation certificates for recent construclion; OR <br /> <br />3, The documentation attached to Activity 330 (Outreach Projects) includes a section <br />that publicizes this service in the outreach project sent to the entire community <br />(mark the notice for this activity in the margin of the outreach project), <br /> <br />b, If another agency provides this service, attached is its agreement to provide it. <br /> <br />You must have the following items available for the verification visit, Check that you will have <br />lhe applicable ones available: <br /> <br />c, Records of institutions and agencies that were notified of this service, If you send <br />letters to institutions and agencies, a mailing list for those institutions and agencies, <br /> <br />d, Copies of the letters to inquirers or other record (such as the log on the previous <br />page) that notes the date, the address or location of the property, and that lhe <br />inquirer was advised of the flood insurance purchase requirement, if applicable, <br /> <br />e, Documentation showing how you keep your FIRM updated, <br /> <br />Example of a Notice Publicizing the Map Information Service <br /> <br />NOTICE TO: Lending Institutions and Real Estate and Insurance Agents <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Flood Insurance Rate Map Zone Information <br /> <br />As a public service, the City of Floodville will provide you with the <br />following information upon request: <br /> <br />Whether a property is in or out of the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) <br />as shown on the current Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) of the City. <br />Additional flood insurance data for a site, such as the FIRM zone and <br />the base flood elevation or depth, if shown on the FIRM, <br />We have a handout on the flood insurance purchase requirement that can <br />help people who need a mortgage or loan for a property in the SFHA, <br /> <br />If you would like to make an inquiry, please te~l us the street address <br />and, if available, the subdivision, lot and block number.
