.

B. Overlap. The aerial neqatives and photographs for the
entire area to be mapped shall have the following
overlap:

1. End lap shall be 60% + 5%.

2. Side lap between adjacent flights shall be 30% +
10%.

C. photographic Quality. Neqatives and prints shall be
clear and sharp 1n detail, of normal density, and of
fine-grained quality. They shall be free from stre aks,
oil stains, static marks, clouds, cloud shadows, smoke,
haze, snow, excessive shadows, and other deficiencies
which would interfere with their intended use.
Reducing or intensifying of negatives shall not be
permi tted.

D. Ground Control. The contractor shall provide by
instrument-survey methods the horizontal and vertical
ground control necessary for the required mapping
accuracy. The vertical ground control and contour
designation shall be based on United States Coast and
Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) or United States Geological
Survey (USGS) Mean Sea Level Datum (MSL) adjusted to
the most recent date of record. The horizontal
ground control shall be based on a minimum of 2 USC&GS
triangulation stations, or the equivalent, and tied to
the Lambert Conformal Conic projection for establish-
ment of the Colorado State Plane Coordinate System,
appropriate zone, with or without Local Datum Adjust-
ment wi thin the project area. (See Attachment A.)

A minimum of third order, class I, control accuracy as
defined by the National Geodetic Survey (NGS)
"Classification, Standards of Accuracy and General
Specifications of Geodetic Control, Surveys" shall be
used when running the field control by instrument
surveys. The ground control surveys shall be
supervised by a Land Surveyor licensed in the State of
Colorado.

E. Plotter. A modern stereo plotter capable of being
operated within a C-factor range of C-1200 to C-2100
will be acceptable for compilation of the topographhic
maps and cross sections. The contractor shall state
the type of equipment to be used and its operating
C-factor for work to be performed.

-2-
