<br />WHEREAS, the Colorado <br />requested by the entities <br />designated the floodplains <br />Colorado springs and adjacent <br />listed in Table 1; and <br /> <br />Water . Conservation Board, as <br />listed in Table 1, approved and <br />which lie within the City of <br />communities: in the said reports <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the U.S. Soil Conservation Service has previously <br />completed a report entitled "Flood Hazard Analyses, Sand Creek, <br />City of Colorado Springs and El Paso County," dated July, 1983; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water <br />requested by El Paso County and the <br />approved and designated said report <br />October 31, 1973; and <br /> <br />Conservation Board, as <br />City of Colorado Springs, <br />by Resolution No. 27 on <br /> <br />WHEREAS,. Lovejoy and williams, Inc., a <br />engineering firm, has previOUSly completed a report <br />tributaries of Sand Creek, dated June, 1974; and <br /> <br />conSUlting <br />on certain <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as <br />requested by EL Paso County, approved and desigriated said <br />report by Resolution No. 36 on December 4, 1974; ahd <br /> <br />WHEREAS, new hydrologic. topographic and hydraulic <br />information and data have been developed by the Federal <br />Emergency Management Agency for certain stream reaches listed <br />in Table 2, attached' hereto and by this reference incorporated <br />herein.; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new information and data replaced information <br />and data contained in the previously designated and approved <br />reports listed in Table 2; and <br /> <br />'. <br />WHEREAS. those portions of Resolution Nos. 16, 27, 30, 36, <br />42, and 91 pertaining to the stream reaches listed in Table 2 <br />need to be rescinded; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Flood Insurance Study describes and outlines <br />the floodplain data and information for the storm and <br />floodwater runoff channels or basins listed in Table 3, <br />attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency has <br />prepared and included in the said Flood Insurance Study for the <br />stream reaches listed in Table 4. attached hereto and by this <br />reference incorporated herein, flOOdplain delineations prepared <br />by approximate methods; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the City of Colorado Springs has requested the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and approve the <br />floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />-2- <br />
