<br />WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency completed a report entitled "Flood
<br />Insurance Study, Arapahoe County, Colorado and Incorporated Areas", revised August 16, 1995; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said report includes approximate and detailed floodplain infonnation for various streams
<br />streams within the corporate limits of each of the municipalities in Arapahoe, County. and within
<br />unincorporated portions of Arapahoe County, as they were on August 16, 1995, including Boxelder Creek;
<br />and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, has not designated and approved the detailed
<br />and approximate floodplain infonnation included in said report; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the detailed floodplain information contained in said reports for the City of Aurora, for
<br />Adams County and Incorporated Areas and for Arapahoe County and Incorporated Areas, all dated August
<br />16, 1995, for Boxelder Creek, is inconsistent with the detailed floodplain information contained in
<br />Resolution No, 153 for Boxelder Creek; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Flood Hazard Area Delineation, Coyote Run and Upper Box
<br />Elder Creek" has been prepared by CH2M Hill at the request of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control
<br />District, in cooperation with the City of Aurora, Arapahoe County and Adams County; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said new report includes detailed floodplain information for Coyote Run, Box Elder
<br />Creek, Cardboard Draw, Woodrat Gulch, Stream 133 (tributary to Woodrat Gulch), Stream 138 (tributary
<br />to Coyote Run), Stream 135 (tributary to Coyote Run), Stream 136 (tributary to Stream 135), Muskrat
<br />Run, Rat Run, Prairie Dog Draw, Stream 111 (tributary to Prairie Dog Draw), Stream 112 (tributary to
<br />Stream III), Stream 107, (tributary to Coyote Run), Stream 101 (tributary to Coyote Run) and Wouzzles
<br />Creek; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said new report contains detailed floodplain information for Box Elder Creek that is
<br />inconsistent with the detailed infonnation contained in Resolution No, 153 for Box Elder Creek, with the
<br />undesignated detailed infonnation contained in the reports for Aurora, for Adams County and Incorporated
<br />Areas and for Arapahoe County and Incorporated Areas, all dated August 16, 1995, and with the
<br />undesignated approximate information contained in the reports for Aurora, for Adams County and
<br />Incorporated Areas and for Arapahoe County and Incorporated Areas, all dated August 16, 1995; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said new report contl!ins detailed floodplain infonnation for portions of Coyote Run that
<br />is inconsistent with the undesignated approximate infonnation contained in the reports for Aurora, for
<br />Adams County and Incorporated Areas and for Arapahoe County and Incorporated Areas, all dated August
<br />16, 1995; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said new report contains detailed floodplain information for portions of Coyote Run and
<br />for other streams that have not previously been studied; and
