HO\vever, in view of Boone's severe shortage of recreational facilities for both active and passive uses, the preferred option quickly centered around developing an open space park. The resulting Master Plan calls for a regional. multi-purpose park with a flood-resistant pavilion for concerts and festivals: flood-resistant restrooms; and facilities to support softball, soccer, biking, picnics, and many othe activities. The to\vn's two greenways \villlink and improve access to the park, Achieving Multiple Objectives Through Partnership, The Boone Acquisition!
