<br /> <br />hydraulic study be performed by a professional engineer and submitted by the developer or the <br />development proponent prior to any floodplain development in those cases; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, La Plata County should continue to regulate new development and construction in <br />floodplain areas on a case-by-case basis based on the information presented in said new Flood <br />Insurance Study and Hydrology AddendUlll, or based on the best available floodplain information that <br />is accessible to the County; and <br /> <br />DESIGNATION AND APPROVAL ACTION <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in <br />regular meeting assembled in Cortez, Colorado, this 24th day of September 2001, that it does hereby <br />designate and approve as detailed floodplain information the 100-year floodplain delineations as listed <br />in Table 3 for unincorporated portions of La Plata County contained in said new Flood Insurance Study <br />dated May 21, 2001 and said new Hydrology Addendum dated July 2001, with included Flood <br />Insurance Rate Maps; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is directed to send a certified <br />copy ofthis resolution to La Plata County and the Federal Emergency Management Agency Region 8. <br /> <br />CER TIFICA TE <br /> <br />I certifY that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution adopted by a majority vote of the <br />members of the Colorado Water Conservation Board in regular session assembled at Canon City, <br />Colorado on the 25th day of September 2000, at which a quorum was present. <br /> <br />kJI~~ <br /> <br />Rod Kuharich, Director <br /> <br />res-55 Ldoc twb <br /> <br />4 <br />
