WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 ~nd 30-28-111, Colorado Revised
Statutes, provide that such legislative bodies of local
jurisdictions may provide zonin~ regulations for land uses on
or along any storm or' floodwater runoff channel or basin only
after designation and appro~al by the Colorado Water
Conservation Board; and

WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(C), Colorado. Revised
Statutes, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to
designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or
basins and to make such designCltions available to legislative
bodies of local juriSdictions; and

WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said revised
detailed and approximate informCltion and does hereby recommend
to the Colorado Water Conservation Board. that the Board
designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas inundated
by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) as described
by the floodwater surface eleVCltions and profiles and by the
floodprone area delineations (Zcme A) in said new report, and
further recommends that the floodplain designation for those
portions of East Plum Creek ahd Carpenter Creek ~ithin the
corporate limits of the Town of Larkspur, as approved by
Resolution No. 164. adopted Sept~mber 9, 1980. be rescinded;

NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RE~OLVED by the ColoradO Water
Conservation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver,
Colorado, this 11th day of December, 1987, that it does hereby
designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas described
as being inundated by a 100-Year flood as described by the
floodwater surtace eJ.evatlons alld proTi-r-es in "dia-n"w L"port..
dated September 30, 1987, and does hereby rescind that said
portion of Resolution No. 164, d~ted September 9, 1980; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is
directed to send a certified copy of this resolution to the
Town of Larkspur. the Board of County Commissioners of Douglas
County, the Colorado Division Clf Disaster Emergency Services,
and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
