Box <br />426, Georgetown, Colorado 80444. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of this MOA is to further the goals of flood hazard reduction by improving <br />administration of floodplain management programs and fostering the goals and objectives of the National Flood <br />Insurance Program (NFIP) related activities and flood control and floodplain management activities within <br />Colorado; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the authority of the CWCB to use grant funds for this project is derived through Agreement <br />Number EMD-97-PA-0225, the Community Assistance Program-State Support Services Element (CAP-SSSE) <br />which is part of the FY 97 CA between the Colorado Office of Emergency Managment (OEM) and the Federal <br />Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) the performance period of which has been extended through <br />September 30, 1998 specifically for the use of Flood Mitigation Assistance program funds; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, authority exists in the Law and Funds have been budgeted, appropriated and otherwise made <br />available and a sufficient unencumbered balance remains available for payment in Fund Number 100, <br />Appropriation Code PDI, Org.
