<br />WHEREAS, hydraulic determinations for the approximate floodplains listed in Table 2 . <br />were prepared by FEMA using approximate hydraulic techniques approved under the Board's <br />"Rules and Regulations for the Designation and Approval of Floodplains llIld of Storm or <br />Floodwater Runoff ChMnels in Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, La Plata County should continue to regulate new development and construction in <br />floodplain areas on a case-by-case basis based on the information presented in said new Flood <br />Insurance Study and Hydrology Addendum, or based on the best available floodplain information that <br />is accessible to the County; and <br /> <br />DESIGNATION AND APPROVAL ACTION <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in <br />regular meeting assembled in Canon City, Colorado, this 25th day of September 2000, that it does <br />hereby designate and approve as detailed floodplain information the 100-year floodplain delineations <br />as listed in Table 1 for unincorporated portions of La Plata County contained in said new Flood <br />InsurllIlce Study dated March 16, 1995 and said new Hydrology Addendum dated September 2000, <br />with included Flood Insurance Rate Maps; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board does hereby designate and approve as <br />approximate floodplain information the 100-year floodplain delineations as listed in Table 2 for <br />unincorporated portions of La Plata County contained in said new Flood Insurance Study dated March <br />16, 1995 and said new Hydrology Addendum dated September 2000, with included Flood InsurllIlce e' <br />Rate Maps; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board does hereby designate and approve as <br />approximate floodplain information the Zone A 100-year floodplain delineations not listed in Table 1 <br />or Table 2 provided that the County requires a detailed floodplain analysis to be performed by a <br />registered professional engineer and submitted by the development proponent prior to approving any <br />new development proposals in those areas; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is directed to send a certified <br />copy of this resolution to La Plata County and the Federal Emergency Management Agency Region 8. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />4 <br />
