Dear John:

Please find enclosed technical information regarding floodplain
modifications along the San Miguel River in San Miguel County.
Colorado. Physical changes have occurred at three locations. namely.
Bridge No. 1 at cross section 116 of the 1978 Flood Insurance Study
(FIS). a new bridge at cross section 128. and a new bridge at cross
section 132.1.

Enclosed are a letter report; original HEC-2 input and output
from the 1978 FIS (on microfiche); HEC-2 input and output for the
current conditions (10-. 50-. 100-. and 500-year and ~loodway); copies
of revised floodplain maps showing the 100- and 500-year floodplains;
and 100-year floodway and profiles showing the 10-. 50-. 100-. and
500-year flood profiles.

Also enclosed are cross section plots of the field surveyed cross
sections (field survey performed December. 1985. under the supervision
of a registered land surveyor).
