<br />FPR 207 v' <br /> <br />,l <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />January 7, 1983 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />WHER8AS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood <br />Plain Management Study, Town of Limon, Colorado," dated <br />September, 1982, has been pr\lpared by U.S. Department of <br />Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Limon has requested the Colorado Water <br />Conserva t ion Board to des ignate and approve the, floodplain areas, <br />as set forth in the aforesaid' report; and ' <br /> <br />\ <br />, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />1973, requires <br />the prevention <br /> <br />Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local <br />j ur isd ictions may prov ide zoning regulations for land uses on, or <br />along any storm or floodwater nil10f f channe]. or bas in only after <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate <br />and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br />make such designations available to legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions; and' ' <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the BOard has reviewed said report and <br />does hereby recommend to the COlorado Water Conservation Board <br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those <br />areas inundated by a, 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) <br />as Clescribed by the floodwater s4rface elevations and profiles in <br />said report; <br /> <br />128 <br />res (207) <br />
