This <br />represents one to two times the monthly precipitation averages measured in the county <br />(for example. the to\\TI of Di....ide. Turkcy Crcck. <br />Twin en.:ck. Trai] Creck. Founnile Creek. and Cripple Creck to name a few. These <br />creeks now in various directions throughout the county however: in general. they <br />typically now to the east where they combine with various other drainage-ways in other <br />counties eventually emptying into larger rivers that now along the Front Range. <br /> <br />A FEMA Flood Insurance Study (FlS) ha'i becn puhlished for Teller County according to <br />the FE;\tA \\eb site hO\\eH:r; this study was not availahle for inclusion in this report. <br /> <br />A site visit was made to the Teller County area on Ju]y :!th. 2004 by ICON Engineering. <br />Inc. (ICON) personnel to inspect and photograph the damage that had occurred from <br />various stonns including the stonns on thc l6.IS1h of July and thc week of the 211ld <br />through the 14th. Site visits were made to the Turkey Ranch arca. the Shelf Road. and <br />Trail Creek Road. <br /> <br />No nO\\ gages were available l'i"u the Turkey Ranch area or any areas receiving damage <br />in Teller County_ <br /> <br />In the abscnce of thm" gage infonnation or survcyed high-water marks. a hydrologic <br />analysis was pcrfonned using available rainfall data for the area. The only source found <br />for rainfall infonnation in the region was a weather station located in Woodland Park and <br />monitored l:1y the Weather Underground web site.
