'rhe, program START <br />(see Figure 1) was developed for this purpose. If you want START <br />to run automatically, put the Flood Risk oirel::te,ry disk into <br />drive A and then type: COPY A:CONF:[G.DB TO 4:::\DBASE. (Note: <br />This command assumes that your dBase: III Plus e)l:ecutahle files <br />reside in the directory C:\DBASE.. If not, use the proper <br />directory name instead). <br /> <br />SEARCHING FOR AN ADDRESS <br /> <br />An address can be found in one of two ways --,use the <br />computer to search for the address in the data base or manually <br />look through the hard copy in Table :2. A "da1ta dictionary", <br />which defines each field i.ncluded in the :f'lood Risk Directory, <br />was presented earlier. <br /> <br />usino the Comnuter Data Base <br /> <br />The computer version of the Flood Ris:~ DiJrectory data base is <br />a dBase III file.
