<br />PROCEDURES FOR COMPLIANCE <br />WITH HOODWAY REGULATIONS <br /> <br />1. Introduction <br /> <br />1-1. Purpose. This document is designed to assist municipal r <br />administering local regulations based on the requirements of the <br />Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). More specifically, it provides guir <br />procedures for reviewing development proposals to ensure compli <br />local fioodway regulations. It also contains information conCE <br />process and procedure for officially revising floodplain and f100dwa <br />tions and for modifying base flood elevations. <br /> <br />The document will also serve as a useful reference guide for <br />developers and property owners wishing to develop within d <br />floodplain and fioodway areas. The criteria, requirements and p <br />described can be used as the basis for preparing the type informatir <br />for local review and, if necessary, for review by the Federal E <br />Management Agency (FEMA). <br /> <br />1-2. Report Organization.
