I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

Table VI
Plan Implementation Priority
Van Bibber Creek and South Tributary

- PLAN IMPLEMENTATION -

Priority

Entity

The proposed drainageway improvements outlined can be implemented

as one project or as many projects. The need exists for all

the proposed improvements, however, the need for some is greater

than others. Table VI lists the recommended priority or order

of implementation of various phases of the proposed plan.

1.

Jeff CO-
Hyatt Lake

Arvada

2.

3.

Arvada

The recommended order of priority was established based on
(1) present average annual damage, and (2) improvement effectiveness,
and (3) total system effectiveness. Upon completing all 15 phases
of the proposed plan, the total system will be complete and fully
operational.

4.

Arvada

5.

Arvada

I
I
I
I

6 . Arvada
7. Jeff CO
8. Jeff CO
9. Jeff CO
10. Jeff CO
11. Jeff CO

The lower items of priority are not critical to the phase of
implementation as outlined in the recommendations. The basis
of establishment of the priority for these items is more need
than to impact on the priorities following. The first six
priorities should not be reprioritized as the phasing outline
is important to proper operation. We feel items six through
eight represent a logical sequence of implementation. The Croke
Canal is given a higher priority than McIntyre Street because of
the potential damages associated with flood waters being diverted
within the irrigation canal. Otherwise, implementation should
be in an upstream to downstream descending priority.

Jeff CO

I

12.

Jeff CO

I
I

13.

14.
15.

Jeff CO
Jeff CO

I
I
I

I

Improvements

Obtain flood storage
agreements

Obtain right-of-way
dam site to 58th Avenue

Obtain right-of-way
58th Street to 58th Avenue
(north side)

Reservoir Construction
and right-of-way
acquisition

Independence Street to
Ralston Creek -
flood proofing improvements

Oak Street to Independence
Street drainage improvements

Croke Canal Improvements

McIntyre Street and Farmer's
High Line Canal improvements

Indiana Street improvements

South Boulder Canal -
drainageway separation

Ulysses Street improvements
(Main Stream to South
Tributary)

Juchem Ditch -
drainageway separation

Church Ditch -
drainageway separation
(Main Stream to South
Tributary)

West 60th Street improvements

Miscellaneous flood proofing

TOTAL

-24-

Total
Estimated Costs

$

706,000

193,000

2,282,000

6,000

482,000
143,000

95,000
73,000

165,000

108,000

81,000

82,000
57,000
3,000

$4,476,000
