mitigation RecommendatioM

The recommendations in this section provide the basis for hazard mitigation
planning activities and the development of hazard mitigation projects. These
measures usually take a longer period of time due to the nature and phases
of the projects, i.e., design, environmental reviews and construction.

The success of the implementation phase requires a cooperative effort among all
agencies and organizations. The designated agencies mentioned in the report are not
necessarily all inclusive for the implementation of the recommendations. If your
agency can assist with funding or technical assistance in any area. please contact OES
or FEMA.

The mitigation recommendations are presented under the following categories:

PUBLIC EDUCA TION

WATERSHED MANAGEMENT

PLANNING

CODES AND STANDARDS

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE

21

JJ-J~R~
JJ...., 1995
