<br />In Southern California. flood depths in the Los Angeles area were, for the most part. <br />from one to two feet. Oceanside, Malibu. Laguna Beach. Long Beach, Corona. and <br />Santa Barbara experienced flooding depths of up to five feet. Flooding in these areas <br />was compounded by slope instability. channel damage. mud/landslide and debris <br />flows. Joint State/Federal field observations. telephone inquiries. and community <br />official meetings indicated approximately 25 homes and 25 mobile homes sustained <br />major or substantial damage. <br /> <br />L <br /> <br />Infrastructure problems included hillside. road shoulder and channel erosion.
