<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />STAGE 2 <br />- <br />Gilpin County Sheriff, Central City Fire Chief, and or Black Hawk Fire Chief declare ~ if any or all <br />of the below criteria exists <br /> <br />a) National Weather Service issues a Flash Flood Watch, Severe Thunderstorm Watch, and/or Flood Watch for any of the following <br />waterways and or counties: <br />WATERWAYS: North Clear Creek, Gregory Gulch, Nevada Gulch, Eureka Gulch, Chase Gulch, No Name Gulch <br /> <br />COUNTIES: Gilpin <br /> <br />b) Observation of minor flooding on any of the above waterways. <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />DATA SOURCES I <br /> <br />. NWS forecasts accessed through any or all of <br />the following CCIC, NOAA Weather Radio, <br />Weather Channel, and the Internet. <br />. Pickle Gulch (RAWS) weather station <br />accessed through the Internet. <br />. NWS Front Range (FTG) Doppler Radar <br />accessed through the Internet. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />ACTIONS REQUIRED ~ <br /> <br />Establish the Emergency Operations <br />Center (EOC) at Gilpin County Justice <br />Center <br /> <br />EOC phone number is: 303-582-1060 <br /> <br />1. Gilpin County Sheriff activates the EOC and <br />insures representation from: <br /> <br />. County Sheriff <br />. Gilpin County Manager <br /> <br />. Central City Fire Chief <br />. Central City Manager <br />. Black Hawk Fire Chief <br />. Black Hawk City Manager <br /> <br />2. EOC Staff will monitor data sources listed in the <br />prior Column. <br /> <br />3. EOC staff will perform the following tasks: <br /> <br />. Develop verbal communications with NWS- <br />Boulder for a briefing on the latest forecast. <br />advisories and watches and notify them of the <br />StaQe 2 issuance. Log initials of NWS <br />contact. <br />. Review the Flood Response Plan. <br />. Monitor radio communications of all county <br />and city agencies. <br />. Have field personnel monitor stages on <br />waterways that run through Black Hawk and <br />Central City and have them relay the <br />information to the EOC staff. <br />. Relay rainfall and waterway stage information <br />to the NWS. Log initials of NWS contact. <br /> <br />4. EOC Staff will make contacts to the following <br />agencies to discuss possible assistance if a <br />StaQe 3 level of readiness is activated, and brief <br />them on the current situation: <br />. Colorado State Patrol <br />. Colorado Department of Transportation <br />. High Country Fire Department <br />. Colorado Sierra Fire Department <br />. Central City Casino Association <br />. Black Hawk Casino Association <br /> <br />5. Agencies listed above will check current staffing <br />and plan on staffing to assist county and city <br />agencies if a StaQe 3 level of readiness is <br />activated. <br /> <br />fiR? <br />
