I understand that you are awaiting our <br />comments on these materials before proceeding with the next <br />phase of your analysis of potential flooding in the downtown <br />area. I would like to offer the following comments: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Summary of Methodoloqy <br /> <br />Our understanding of this first phase is that it was <br />intended to provide' the City with a reasonable estimate of <br />the flow into the downtown area due to various levels of <br />flooding on Fountain Creek, but that it was not intended to <br />delineate the extent of flooding in the downtown area. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />with that in mind, MSM reviewed the HEC-2 runs prepared <br />by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque District, <br />and, as appropriate, modified, replaced, or inserted cross- <br />sectional data using information prepared by your depart- <br />ment's survey crews. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br />
