<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Colorado Project No. NH 0504-042 <br />SH 50 at Rocky Ford <br />Construction Subaccount No. 13561 <br /> <br />7/2/01 <br /> <br />UTILITIES <br /> <br />The following Utilities are known to be within the project limits: <br /> <br />Colorado DOT <br />City of Rocky Ford <br />WestPlains Energy <br />Citizens Utilities <br />CenturyTelofEagle <br /> <br />Terry Marcum <br />Brian Whipple <br />Ed Masias <br />Tony Quintana <br />Gary Collins <br /> <br />(719) 546-5499 <br />(719) 254-7414 <br />(719) 254-3323 <br />(719) 384-4361 <br />(719) 384-1329 <br /> <br />The work described in these plans and specifications will require full coordination between the Contractor and the <br />Utility Companies, in accordance with Subsection 105.06 and while performing their respective operations, so the <br />utility work can be completed with minimum delays to all parties concerned. <br /> <br />Tbe followinl( utility work sball be performed by tbe Contractor: <br /> <br />The Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating the adjustment of all utilities on this project. The Contractor <br />shall keep each utility company advised of any work being performed on or near their facilities, so that each utility <br />company can coordinate any needed inspections, including inspections with the Engineer. <br /> <br />The Contractor shall determine any conflicts with existing utilities. Item 203, Potholing, has been included in the <br />Contract to assist the Contractor in this effort. <br /> <br />The Contractor sball be responsible for any adjustments necessary to utility lines owned and operated by the City of <br />Rocky Ford. The Contractor will be reimbursed per Force Account items included in the contract. <br /> <br />The Contractor sball provide written notice to each utility company, with a copy to the Engineer, prior to any work <br />by a utility company that is to be coordinated with project construction. A minimum of three (3) calendar weeks of <br />prior notice is required. <br /> <br />If necessary, the Contractor shall provide traffic control for any utility work that is to be coordinated witb the <br />project's construction, in accordance with an approved Method of Handling Traffic (MHT). Payment to be made via <br />contract bid item(s). <br /> <br />Tbe followinl( utility work shall be performed by tbe Utility Company or their al(ents: <br /> <br />City of Rocky Ford: Coordinate with the Contractor to determine tbe type and method of any necessary adjustments <br />to existing water and sanitary sewer lines. <br /> <br />WestPlains Energy: As needed, adjust or relocate existing facilities that conflict witb the project's construction. <br />Coordinate any such adjustruents or relocations with the Contractor. <br /> <br />Citizens Utilities: As needed, adjust or relocate existing facilities that conflict with the project's construction. <br />Coordinate any such adjustments or relocations with the Contractor. <br /> <br />CenturyTel of Eagle: As needed, adjust or relocate existing facilities that conflict with the project's construction. <br />Coordinate any such adjustments or relocations with the Contractor. <br /> <br />16 <br />
