The first split
flow occurs at the 104'h Avenue overpass of[-76. The second flow split occurs along 104'h Avenue.
Rating curves were developed for each of the split flow locations to determine the flow rates. At 1-76 it
has been determined that 3300 cfs will flow through the underpass and 6200 cfs will flow across 1-76 to
the west. Along I04th Avenue, it was determined that 2700 cfs will flow to the north and that 3500 cfs
will continue west to First Creek. With this flow split, 6000 cfs will flow north along the UPRR. TCB
provided copies of the HEC RAS output and maps to UD&FCD for review.

(5)

Other Issues

(6)

Meeting Schedule

Downstream of US-8), grading has started for the Belle Creek development. The existing topography
from the project mapping is being used to model the floodplain in this area. TC&B asked the sponsors if
this area will need to be modeled to reflect the as constructed condition. Sponsors will advise TC&B on
this issue at a latter date.

Alternatives Report
A summary of the recommended alternative was presented to the landowners that were present. The
Owners questioned the location of the culvert crossing Havana Street and potential conflicts with existing
gas and petroleum pipelines and electric transmission lines. It was explained the plans shown in the
alternatives report are conceptual and that more detailed design and facility location will be done as part
of the preliminary design phase of the project. The draft Alternatives Report is being reviewed and will
be delivered to UDFCD for distribution next week.

Other Issues
TC&B will print the Final Hydrology Report and deliver it to UDFCD next week

Meeting Schedule
The next scheduled meeting is September 6 at 2:00 PM at the UDFCD.

Distribution: Study Contact List
