Submittal of the Final Hydrology report is a little behind schedule. However, it
should' be finalized prior to the next progress meeting. The alternative phase is still on-schedule.

Wetland Invcntory
Denise discussed the process by which ERO will conduct the wetlands inventory. Aerial photos and field
investigations will be used to inventory wetlands. The inventory will not be a regulatory delineation.
Instead, it will provide approximate wetland locations. The inventory will include all wetlands within the
study area and some limited to identification of wetland plants. The RVO will provide wetland
delineation's to ERO (of the Rocky Mountain Arscnal) for inclusion in their inventory. All infonnation
will be reported on the 2-foot mapping provided by Adams County. The wetland inventory will begin in
January 2000.

Full Conveyance Alternative
TCB presented a 100-yr full conveyancc option for routing First Creek through the study area. The
mainstem was conveyed in a two.stage channel. The 5-yr flow was conveyed in the low flow section and
all larger flows were conveyed in the "bench section". Tributaries were conveyed in a trapezoidal
channel with a concrete lined trickle channel. Channel alignment followed that proposed in the WWE
study. Bill requested that future alignments should include the option of an alignment through the
LaFarge gravel pits to the South Platte River. A typical channel cross section was prcscnted which had a
maximum depth of 10-feet. Bill requested that future alternatives should not include benns for
channelization of flows. Additionally it was requested that concrete lined trickle channels not be used
and that a wetland cbannel design be used instead. This alternative will be completed and used for
comparison of future alternatives.

.
