<br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />LOCAL REQUEST <br />WHEREAS, the City of Aurora has noted that certain 100-year floodplain delineations for <br />several stream reaches in the community are not accurate and are therefore not acceptable to the <br />City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Aurora should be contacted by interested parties prior to any <br />development activity to verify which floodplain delineations are inaccurately depicted on the Flood <br />Insurance Rate Maps; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board will hereby omit from this resolution <br />those I OO-year floodplains that are deemed unacceptable by the City of Aurora; and <br /> <br />COMPLIANCE WITH CWCB TECHNICAL STANDARDS <br />WHEREAS, the detailed hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for Westerly Creek were <br />completed by Merrick and Company consulting engineers, and are consistent with the requirements <br />for detailed hydrologic and hydraulic information listed under the Board's "Rules and Regulations <br />for the Designation and Approval of Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater Runoff Channels in <br />Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1); and <br /> <br />DESIGNATION AND APPROVAL ACTION <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in <br />regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, this 22nd day of November 1999, that it does <br />hereby designate and approve as detailed information the storm or floodwater runoff channels and <br />basins within the City of Aurora described by 100-year floodplain delineations for Westerly Creek <br />in said report dated September 7,1998; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the approximate Zone A floodplain information <br />contained in previous versions of the Aurora Flood Insurance Study, as listed in Table I (Reference <br />numbers 1 through 4), for the reach of Westerly Creek from just upstream of Kelly Road Dam to <br />Havana Street by hereby rescinded by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is directed to send a <br />certified copy of this resolution to the City of Aurora; the Colorado Office of Emergency <br />Management; and the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Region 8. <br /> <br />3 <br />
