Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />May 15. 1987 <br /> <br />R ~ ~ Q ~ ~ T l Q H <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood <br />Hazard Identification Report, Clea+ Creek and South Clear <br />Creek. Georgetown, Colorado." dated February. 1987. has been <br />prepared by the Colorado Water Conservation Board at the <br />request of the Town of Georgetown; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff <br />channels or basins of Clear Creek and South Clear Creek within <br />the Town of Georgetown; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Georgetown has requested the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to designate and approve the <br />floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. Section <br />Statutes, requires the <br />assist in the prevention <br />and <br /> <br />37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />of floods and flood damages therefrom; <br /> <br />WHEREAS. Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, provide that such legislative' bodies of local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on <br />or along ,any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only <br />after designation and approval by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c). Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins and to make such designations available to legislative <br />bodies of local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the staff of the Board has reviewed said report <br />and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas <br />those areas inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate <br />regional flood) as described by the floodwater surface <br />elevations and profiles in said report; ~. <br /> <br />3540E <br />
