<br />RESOLUTION
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board completed a floodplain information report
<br />entitled "Floodplain Information Report for the Rio Grande, Trinchera Creek, Culebra Creek, Costilla
<br />Creek and Selected Tributaries in Costilla County, Colorado" in March 1989; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said report includes approximate floodplain information for stream reaches within
<br />Costilla County; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conserv<ltion Board, as requested by Costilla County, by
<br />Resolution No. 299, adopted on November 14, 1989, approved and designated the floodplains described
<br />in said report; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the U.S, Department of Housing and Urban completed a floodplain information map
<br />entitled "Flood Hazard Boundary Map, Town of San Luis, Colorado, Costilla County" on May 24,
<br />1974; and
<br />
<br />.

<br />WHEREAS, said map includes approximate floodplain information for those portions of the Rito
<br />Seco within the corporate limits of the Town of San Luis, as they were on August 24, 1974; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency completed a floodplain information
<br />map entitled "Flood Insurance Rate Map, Town of San Luis, Colorado, Costilla County" on September
<br />I, 1987; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said map includes approximate floodplain information for those portions of the Rito
<br />Seco within the corporate limits of the Town of San Luis, as they were on September I, 1987; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said map was prepared directly from the May 24, 1974 Flood Hazard Boundary
<br />Map; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board completed a floodplain information report
<br />entitled "Floodplain Information Report, Town of San Luis, Colorado" on July 1994; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said report dated July 1994 includes the maps dated May 24,1974 and September
<br />I, 1987, respectively, as approximate floodplain information for those portions of the Rito Seco within
<br />the corporate limits of the Town of San Luis, as they were in July 1994; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by the Town of San Luis,
<br />by Resolution No. 94-366, adopted on July 19, 1994, approved and designated the floodplains described
<br />in said report; and

<br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Master Drainage Study, Town of San Luis,
<br />Colorado", dated December, 1988, was prepared by WRC Engineering Inc., under contract to the Town
<br />of San Luis in cooperation with the Department of Local Affairs and the Colorado Water Conservation
<br />Board; and
