Medical costs paid for various minor injuries and long <br />term costs for a few mentally exhausted from the flooding itself and clean-up <br />and stressful worry whenever a storm blew into the area. <br />As one resident of the area hardest hit in 1977 said, it was something he <br />didn't even want to be reminded of, consequently he did not even retain records <br />of actual costs of his damages after he had paid the bills. <br />After touring the area, Governor Lamm found funds to provide some <br />assistance to the City of Glenwood Springs, and a check for $10,000 was <br />presented to the City Manager. This paid some of the overtime wages and extra <br />costs for supplies of the city. <br />
