RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, a report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, City of Manitou Springs,
Colorado, El Paso County", dated August 1, 1983, has been prepared by the Federal
Emergency Management Agency; and

WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by the City of
Manitou Springs, Colorado, by Resolution No. 221 dated January 5, 1984, approved and
designated floodplains described in said report; and

WHEREAS, a new report entitled "flood Insurance Study, City of Manitou Springs,
Colorado, El Paso County," dated AuguSf 19, 1991, has been prepared by the' Federal
e Emergency Management Agency; and '

WHEREAS, said new report includes detailed floodplain information for Fountain
Creek, Ruxton Creek, Sutherland Creek, Williams Canyon and Beckers Lane Tributary; and

WHEREAS, said new report includes floodprone areas (Zone A), which are
approximate 10o-year floodplains, for the following streams:

Upper Sutherland Creek
Upper Williams Canyon
Upper Beckers Lane Tributary; and

WHEREAS, the detailed information included in said new report relating to
Fountain Creek, Ruxton Creek, Sutherland Creek and Williams Canyon is consistent with
the detailed information contained in the August 1, 1983, report previously designated by
Resolution No. 221; and

WHEREAS, the approximate information included in said new report relating to
Upper Sutherland Creek, Upper Williams Canyon and Upper Beckers Lane Tributary is
consistent with the approximate information contained in the August 1, 1983 report
previously designated by Resolution No. 221; and
