ICON was just awarded a contract through the Urban Drainage & Flood Control District to
provide reviews of all FEMA map revisions throughout the Denver Metro area, We believe that
the CWCB contract will piggy back nicely with that contract in that duphcation of effort can be
avoided, and our firm is set up technically and from an manpower basis to complete this type of
work. We have a demonstrated familiarity with floodplain management, and the mission and
responsibilities of the CWCB gained through years of service on other important projects,

. We propose to utilize a very well respected management team with senior level engineers having
the necessary experience, training, and sensitivity to complete this important project The same
Team is proposed that will be doing the reviews for the UD&FCD, Our Team is immediately
available to commence work,

. Our record for past performance of high, quality and timely deliverables for the CWCB, Corps of
Engineers, FEMA, Urban Drainage and Flood Control District, and local communities on similar
reports make our firm an idca! selection,

Completing the reviews by senior personnel, such as we are proposing is critical, in that only
someone with extensive floodplain engineering experience can have the required judgment to
ascertain if an apparent discrepancy in the floodplain study being reviewed is of a significant nature
that requires subsequent action, "Nitpicking" minor, inconsequential issues severs no purpose, The
combination of education, training, and experience of our Team personnel, the proven success of our
proposed management structure, the relationships with our Team Members, and our knowledge ofthe
locality and familiarity with the CWCB will provide you with an invaluable resource, We look
forward to providing you with the same high quality and timely service that we have on past projects,

ICON has a large existing staff specifically trained in completing hydraulic and hydrology analysis
and furthermore, we are well known for our drainage and flood control design and construction
management capabilities, We have completed numerous similar contracts for communities
throughout Colorado, Our past work history with the Colorado Water Conservation Board staff
underscores the strong working relationship we have developed with floodplain management
personnel. ICON specializes in drainage ancl floocl control planning, design and construction
management. We have a staff of 18, which includes seven professionals averaging over 20 years of
consulting engineering experience, Three of our staff has advanccd degrees in water resource
