At the request of the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board, reconnaissance studies are also being ms.de of <br />four pumping systems which could supply supp:Lemental irrigation <br />water to lands situated too high for gravity service. These <br />:pumping plants may be incorporated into the Narrows Unit plan <br />of devel.opnent. <br />Operation of the Narrows Reservoir would be integrated and <br />coordinated with the operation of all upstream reservoirs. Flood <br />control benefits from the Narrows Reservoir would extend downstream <br />into Nebraska.. As the terminal reservoir on the South Platte River <br />in ColoradO, the Narrows Reservoir will be able to capture and <br />store flows that otherwise wou1.d largely be wasted. <br /> <br />9 <br />
