To apply for the program the <br />Ipplicant must reside in a rural community under 20,000 popula- <br />tion. fmHA may be able to extend interest credit assistance <br />tib such borrowers at rites IS low IS five percent under this <br />loan program. <br /> <br />Business Loans (physical disaster loan) (up to B5S of Actual Het <br />Loss Only} <br /> <br />__ Loans to businesses for repair, replacement or rehabilitation <br />of disaster damaged property. <br /> <br />__ Credit elsewhere test applied to deteM\.ine interest rate. <br /> <br />Interest rite for borrowers unable to get credit elsewhere is <br />set at not to exceed B percent. <br /> <br />Interest rate for borrowers able to get credit elsewhere is not <br />to exceed the rate prevailing-lrrl the private market and not to <br />exceed the maximum rate for guaranteed loans pursuanr-to Section <br />7(a) of the Small Business Act. <br /> <br />__ Borrowers able to get credit elsewhere are restricted to a <br />maximum term of 3 years for disaster business loans. <br /> <br />__ Refinancing loans are available only to applicants who ~ not <br />get credit elsewhere. The amount refinanced shall not exceed <br />the amount of physical loss sustained. <br /> <br />__ Available in designated counties only, unless SBA designates <br />Idjacent county(s). <br /> <br />__ Sixty day application period from date of declaration. <br /> <br />__ Maximum time for repayment is 30 years. However, the terms for <br />repayment will be based on the applicant's ability to repay. <br /> <br />__ Farmers and ranchers will be referred to the FmHA. <br /> <br />__ Statutory loan limit of $500,000. SBA may waive limit if appli- <br />cant is a major source of employment in the disaster area. <br /> <br />Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) <br /> <br />__ Designed to help small business concerns that have suffered cash <br />flow problems related to the disaster. loans are for working <br />capital only and do not Illow for any expansion. <br /> <br />3 <br />
