<br />, <br /> <br />, -' <br /> <br />~' <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />-, <br /> <br />MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this <br /> <br />day of <br /> <br />, 198_, by and between the parties hereto to provide <br /> <br />mutual aid to prevent, alleviate or combat the effects of an emer- <br /> <br />gency which may result from either natural or m~nmade disasters <br /> <br />affecting either party to the agreement. <br /> <br /> <br />The parti es to thi s agreement are the County of Larimer and <br /> <br /> <br />the Town of Estes Park. This agreement shall become valid upon <br /> <br />the execution by both parties. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is desirable that each of the parties hereto <br />should voluntarily aid and assist each other by the interchange <br /> <br />of services and facilities, including but not limited to fire, <br /> <br />police, medical and health, communication, and transportation <br /> <br />services and facilities, to cope with the problems of warning, <br /> <br />evacuation, rescue, relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction <br /> <br />which would arise in the event of a natural or manmade disaster, <br /> <br />such as flood, fire, tornado, earthquake, winter storm, <br /> <br />transportation and hazardous material incident, explosion, civil <br /> <br />disturbance and act of terrorism; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that an appropriate <br /> <br />agreement be executed for the interchange of such mutual aid; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AGREED by and between each of <br /> <br />the parties hereto as follows: <br /> <br />1. Each party to this agreement shall develop a plan providing <br /> <br />for the effective mobilization of all its resources to <br /> <br />cope with a disaster which may affect either party to <br /> <br />the agreement. <br /> <br />----1 <br />I <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Each party hereto agrees as an independent contractor <br /> <br />to furnish those resources and render those services <br /> <br />to the other party hereto necessary to assist in the <br /> <br />" <br />! <br /> <br />prevention and combating of an anticipated or existing <br />disaster in accordance with a heretofore or hereafter <br /> <br />adopted mutual aid operation plan.
