.

The Honorable Bill Tedesko, Mayor
July 19, 1993
Page 3

My understanding at the conclusion of the meeting was that the developers would be
submitting an application for a floodplain development permit in the very near future and
that the City would be proceeding with the review of, that application and, if appropriate,
the issuance of a permit. That permit would be based on the currently effective PIS', I
would recommend that the developers also submit a revised version of the Love and
Associates draft computer model. The revisions to the computer model should be based on
current topographic data to be derived from field surveys, That revised computer model
would serve as the basis of a LOMR that would change the Oak Creek floodplain
delineation to represent July 1993 field conditions,

If after reading this letter you still have some questions, problems, or concerns with
regard to the Oak Cre,ek floodplain and development in that floodplain, please feel free to
contact us, Another meeting in Florence can be arranged if that is what is needed.
Meanwhile I hope this letter provides you with some clarification of the current situation,

~ (j2.~

Brian R. Hyde
Sr, Water Resource Specialist
Flood Control and Floodplain
Management Section

cc: Virginia Motoyarr.a, FEMA
