<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Runoff Channels in Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1); and <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Colorado Water Conservation Board has determined that the hydrologic <br />information prepared in said new report for the stream reach listed in Table 2 is appropriate for <br />designation and approval of approximate floodplain information and for use in simple floodplain <br />analyses for development such as open space, agriculture, farm bridges, pole barns and individual <br />single residential structures, but that the methodology is not appropriate for development <br />involving residential subvidivisions greater than 50 lots or occuring on sites greater than5 acres, <br />commercial construction, industrial construction, construction of public transportation facilities <br />or construction of flood control activities; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in <br />regular meeting assembled in Sterling, Colorado, this 14th day of May, 1996, that it does hereby <br />designate and approve as storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins those areas described by <br />approximate floodplain information in said new report dated March 1995 and revised April 1996, <br />based on the detailed hydrologic information used for the study reach listed in Table I, and based <br />on the hydrologic procedure for estimating I DO-year peak flows for the study reach listed in Table . <br />2, as described in said report, contingent upon the understanding that Rio Blanco County will <br />regulate the approximate floodplains for the stream reach listed in Table 2 on a case-by-case basis <br />subject to a detailed hydrologic and hydraulic analysis performed by a professional engineer; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is directed to send a <br />certified copy of this resolution to the Town of Rangely; the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Rio Blanco County; the Colorado Office of Emergency Management; the U.S. Army Corps of <br />Engineers, Sacramento District; and the Federal Emergency Management Agency, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />CERTIFICATE <br /> <br />I certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution adopted by a majority <br />vote of the members of the Colorado Water Conservation Board in regular session assembled at <br />Sterling, Colorado, on the 14th day of May, 1996, at which a quorum was present. <br /> <br />C;i~/A <br /> <br />aries C.
