One additional 5 foot CMP
culvert and a low dike will be required to increase the existing capacity to the 10-
year flood flow. Two 5.5 foot CMP culverts and a low dike will increase the exist-
ing capacity to the 100-year flood flow. Since very little extra cost will be in-
volved in providing 100-year protection, it is recommended that this crossing be
modified to pass the 100-year flood flow.

Aspen Street Crossi ng

This culvert is adequate to pass the 10-year flood flow; however, the
100-year flood will overtop the road. The consequences of overtopping are minor;
therefore, the only modification recommended is to provide riprap slope protection
downstream of the crossing.

Station 260 + 00 Culvert

This culvert has a discharge capacity of 110 cfs while the 10-year flood
flow is 400 cfs. It is recommended that a bypass channel be constructed to carry
300 cfs and of/ow the IOO-year flood flows to overtop the area,

111-12
