Notice to proceed with Phase B <br /> <br />was given in a letter from the District doted November 1, 1973. <br /> <br />Scope of Phose B Work <br /> <br />The scope of the Phase B work is given in paragraph 38 af the contract. <br /> <br />The objective is to provide preliminary designs of the selected drainage olterna- <br /> <br />tive in adequate detail to permit the District, Federal Heights, Thornton and <br /> <br />Adams County to properly plan their highway and drainage structures, rights-of- <br /> <br />way and construction activities. <br /> <br />Briefly, the signifi cant elements are: <br /> <br />1. Final Hydrology and Hydraulics <br />2. Preliminary Design Drawings <br />3. Construction Cost Esti motes <br /> <br />All of these elements are included in this report; in addition, the legal <br />opinion of our lawyer, Mr. Philip Roon, is included as Appendix A. <br /> <br />Acknowledgments <br /> <br />We wish to acknawledge the assistance of all who contributed to this <br /> <br />report. The Urban Drainage District and officials of the three communities in the <br /> <br />drainage basin were very helpful and provided much information from previous <br /> <br />studies, as well as data on present and future land use. <br /> <br />Me. D. J. Gianola was Project Director for the Urban Drainage District, <br />and Mr. E. Will was Project Manager for ECI. The final hydrology was prepared <br />by Mr. Yin Au-Yeung. Hydraulic studies, layouts and preliminary designs were <br />prepared by Mr. R. O. Gilmore, assisted by Mr. I. Hoque. Drawings were pre- <br />pared by Mrs. Lis Wotovitch and Mr. J.
