Upon review and approval by the Oivision of Disaster Emergency <br />Services, updated internal plans shall be returned to their <br />respective departments for si gnature of the department head, <br />whereupon such plans shall be formally adopted; <br /> <br />5. A copy of all updated departmer.t~! internal plans shall be filed <br />and maintained by the Division of Disaster Emergency Services; <br /> <br />6. The Director of Division of Disaster Emergency Services is <br />designated -State Coordinating Officer with the responsibility <br />for coordinating among state departments and agencies to ensure <br />that the State Plan and supporting plans. SOPs. and reference <br />documents are developed and continuously maintained as new <br />conditions warrant and as new needs are identified, and that the <br />State Plan is implemented in an expeditious and efficient manner <br />in event of disaster eDergency; <br /> <br />7. All other state departments or agencies not charged specifically <br />in this plan will carry out whatever functions the Governor <br />sha 11 speci fy; <br /> <br />8. Every state department Or agency s/lall appoint a department or <br />agency emergency response coordinator who shall act as the <br />departllll!nt/agency point of contact tor all IIiltters pertaining to <br />COllJlre/lellSfve emergency IIilnagement. the name to be provi ded to <br />the Division of Disaster EMergency Services; <br /> <br />g. In the event the Govemor declares a state of emergency or <br />disaster. the Colorado State Patrol, assisted by other law <br />enforcement departments or agencies, including the Colorado <br />National Guard. wi 11, at the direction of the Governor. be <br />empowered to assist or aid any s/leriff or other peace officer in <br />the perfonaance of his/her duties upon the Governor's request or <br />t/le request of other local officials having jurisdiction; <br /> <br />10. The Division of Disaster Emergency Services will be responsible <br />for overseeing and coordinating the development of local <br />elllergency operations plans, reviewing and fil ing these plans, <br />and recommending changes to local governments. <br /> <br />11. local emergency operations plans sha,ll be forwarded to the <br />Division of Disaster Emergency Services for review whenever <br />significant up~ating has been completed; <br /> <br />12.
