<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />.~ , <br /> <br />D3~S13 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, hydrographs for the 10-, 50-, and 500-year events were generated by WRC <br />Engineering using the CUHP/SWMM models with the reproduced MWE models as a basis for the <br />analysis; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, water surface profiles were defined for the 10-, 50-, 100-, and 500-year storm <br />events with floodplain delineations defined for the 10- and 100-year events; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, floodway computations were completed assuming a O.5-foot and l.O-foot rise <br />in the water surface due to flood fringe encroachment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the detailed 100-year floodplain information for the studied reaches of Little Dry <br />Creek and Tributaries contained in said new report meets the requirements listed under the Board's <br />"Rules and Regulations for the Designation and Approval of Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater <br />Runoff Channels in Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the affected local governments should continue to regulate new development and <br />constnlction in floodplain areas on a case-by-case basis using the information presented in said new <br />report dated August 2003; and <br /> <br />DESIGNATION AND APPROVAL ACTION <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in <br />regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, this 21st day of November 2003, that it does hereby <br />designate and approve as detailed floodplain information the 100-year floodplain delineations for Little <br />Dry Creek (Arapahoe County), Greenwood Gulch, Blackmer Gulch, Prentice Gulch, and Willow Creek <br />affecting the communities of Arapahoe County, Greenwood Village, Cherry Hills Village, and the City <br />of Centennial, all within the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District, contained in said new report <br />dated August 2003; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is directed to send a certified <br />copy of this resolution to the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District, Arapahoe County, <br />Greenwood Village, Cherry Hills Village, the City of Centennial, and the Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency Region VID. <br /> <br />CERTIFICATE <br /> <br />I certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution adopted by a majority vote of the <br />members of the Colorado Water Conservaf n oard in re lar session assembled at Denver, Colorado <br />onthe21stdayofNovember2003,atwhi ha a~ <br /> <br /> <br />Rod Kuharich, Director <br /> <br /> <br />res-573doc twb <br /> <br />3 <br />
