<br />When the logs are installed across the tracks. all train <br />traffic along this route must cease. During periods .Then no <br />floods are predicted the stop logs ace removed and stored <br />adjacent to the railroad tracks at the closure. From the <br />railroad tracks. the levee proceeds northerly to the <br />intersection of U.S. Highway 6 where a similar closure <br />structure is constructed. This road closure structure also <br />uses Iltop logs stored nearby in the to.Tll' s maintenance shop. <br />During periods when no floods are predicted. the highway <br />closure will remain open for traffic. llt the U.S. Hiqhway 6 <br />intersection. the levee continues northerly and ties into the <br />eastbound lane embankment of U.S. In~erBtate 76. <br /> <br />Erosion protection was provided ~o the BNRR bridge and at <br />the east and west ends of the 700 foot railroad fail section <br />which is 200 feet west of Closure No.1.
