<br />FPR 272 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />March 13, 1987 <br /> <br />R ~ li Q ~ ~ T ~ Q N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a report ent it led "Flood Insurance Study, Larimer <br />County, Colorado, Unincorporated Areas," was prepared by Gingery <br />Associates, Inc., under contract to the Federal Insurance <br />Administration in September, 1978; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report included floodplain information and <br />data for Dry Creek from its confluence with the Cache la Poudre <br />River upstream to the 1978 eaEltern corporate limit of the City <br />of Fort Collins, Dry Creek from the 1978 northern corporate <br />limit of the City of Fort Collins upstream to U.S. Highway 287, <br />the Fall River from the 1978 western corporate limit of the City <br />of Estes Park upstream approximately 500 feet, the Big Thompson <br />River from Lake Estes upstream to the 1978 eastern corporate <br />limit of the City of Estes Park, and the Big Thompson River from <br />the 1978 southwestern corporate limit of the City of Estes Park <br />upstream to Marys Lake Road; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report included flood-prone areas (Zone A) for <br />Dry Creek from the U.S. Highway 287 upstream to a point <br />approximately 500 feet downstream of Shields Street, Boxelder <br />Creek from its confluence with the Cache la Poudre River <br />upstream. to a po'int approximately 100 feet ups'trea'rii ofWi'flox <br />Lane, the Fall River from ~ point approximately 500 feet <br />upstream of the 1978 western corporate limit of the City of <br />Estes Park upstream to the eastern boundary of Rocky Mountain <br />National Park, and the Big Thompson River from Marys Lake Road <br />upstream to the eastern boundary of ROCky Mountain National <br />park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation <br />by the Board of County Comm!ssioners of <br />Resolution No. 128, adopted January 31, <br />designated the floodplains described in said <br /> <br />Board, as requested <br />Larimer County, by <br />1979, approved and <br />report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Major Drainageway Planning, <br />Dry Creek, Fort Collins, Larimer County, Colorado," was prepared <br />by Gingery Associates, Inc., in April, 1980; and <br /> <br />2917E <br />
