This code identifies a line, whose source is
the printed FIRM, that defines the location
of a small stream (shown by a single line
that represents the stream centerline) or a
large stream (shown by double lines that -
represent the approximate locations of the
stream banks). This code also identifies
lines that represent the shorelines of bodies
of water of any size (ponds, lakes, gulfs,
oceans). The NFIP does not differentiate
between manmade and natural shorelines, or
perennial and no~-perennial drainage. These
