To
maintain topological consistency and to
facilitate the combination (integration) of
multiple OLes, the area outside the cell is
specifically identified for each OLe. This
area element, which must be the first area
present in each data category, is assigned a
single attribute code with major and minor
codes both equal to zero.

This code identifies the line bounding the
area covered by a USGS 7.S-minute quadrangle.
It is shown by FIS symbol L212. The area
inside the neatline must have at least one
centroid.

This code identifies a field-surveyed line
across a floodplain, as shown on the Flood
Insurance Rate Map or Flood Boundary Floodway
Map, at which computation of flood flow has
been made to establish a potential flood
elevation. This code is identified with a
parameter code (433 xxyy) that is usually
unique by stream. It is shown by FIS symbol
L20S.

This code identifies a field-surveyed line
across a floodplain, not shown on the OFIRM
but used for engineering analysis, at which
computation of flood flow has been made to
establish a potential flood elevation. This
code is identified with a parameter code (433
xxyy) that is usually unique by stream.

31
