Development of a Colorado Snowmelt Runoff Model which will improve flood <br />prediction forecasts, <br /> <br />. Conduct an annual campaign about flood insurance and its availability, <br /> <br />. Develop a CWCB Emergency Response Plan, <br /> <br />. Improve the federal permitting process during times of flooding, <br /> <br />. Develop a policy or standard for restoring and reclaiming stream channels, <br /> <br />. Update the Colorado Flood Hazard Mitigation Plan, and <br /> <br />. Implement a Multi-Objective River Management Planning process. <br /> <br />2. Prepared reconnaissance studies for nine (9) flood-impacted sites in: <br /> <br />Pitkin County (Redstone area) <br />Gunnison County (Crested Butte) <br />Mesa County (Grand Junction) <br />Delta County (Hotchkiss, Paonia, Delta) <br />Conejos County <br />Routt County <br /> <br />VIn. LOCAL ACTIONS AND RESPONSE <br /> <br />Flood response is a collaborative process which involves federal, state and local agencies which <br />cooperate together to mitigate flood damages at selected locations. Local government actions paralleled <br />state actions and consisted of the same phases I) preparation, 2) monitoring, 3) response, and 4) mitigation. <br /> <br />J <br />
