XV, HEALTH CONTROL

15-01 Health Control. Views of .health authorities were obtained from
the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare, .during project
docl.m1ent investigations. Comments of the agency.on the project are con-
tained in copies of correspondence published in the project document.

15-02. The Public Health Service has made no comments on water supply
and pollution control in addition to those included in their letters in
Appendix D of the project document. It was stated that prevention of
flooding should be beneficial by alleviating sanitation problems
associated with flooding and by making the suggested provisions for the
control of man-made vectors sources, the overall benefits could be
enhanced. Comments and suggestions of the Public He'lth Service rela-
tive to vector problems will be observed in construction and operation
of the project.
