Summary of estimated cost. The estimated cost of the Las Animas <br />Protection Project is $2,190,000. (July 1968 pricG-9).pf which <br />$1,940,000 would be Federal and $250,000 would be NonbFederal. The <br />estimate is summarized in Table 7. A detailed estimate of project costs <br />is* presented in table 8, detailed relocation costs are presented in <br />tables 1 and 2, Appendix B. <br /> <br />13-02. Unit and lump sum prices used in determining the estimated <br />project cost were based on prices of labor and materials prevailing in <br />July 1968. Construction quantities were computed on the basis of the <br />design of the structures and facilities presented in this memorandum. <br />Approximately 12 percent of the estimated contract cost was added as <br />an allowance for contingencies in accordance with ER 1110-2-1301 dated <br />4 November 1966. The estimated cost of engineerin~ design, supervision <br />and administration of construction amounts to about 25.5 percent of the <br />estimated Federal construction cost. Engineering, design, supervision <br />and administration costs were computed using as a guide, curves <br />developed by Office, Chief of Engineers. Estimated overhead costs <br />were based on experience of the Albuquerque District. <br /> <br />13-03. Comparison of estimates. Project document, approved PB-3, and <br />general design memorandum cost estimates are presented in table 7 for <br />comparison.
