<br />During working hours HMS will contact the District office by phone, fax, and computer mail <br />using "bulletin board" software on the ALERT base station computer located along the south windows <br />near the student area, After hours HMS will call the priority list on page 1 until one engineer is <br />reached, <br />Post all current HMS faxes on the grip strip adjacent to the wall map in the ALERT area or <br />place on the table next to the Node 1 monitor, <br />Basic District Goals <br /> <br />The District is not directly involved in any warning, evacuation or flood fighting activity, <br />Immediately prior to and during a flood event the District goals are to document the flood event (with <br />pictures) and to provide assistance to local governments to the extent possible as requested, <br />Immediately following a flood th~: District goals are continued documentation; evaluation of how <br />District funded plans, construction, etc, worked; and providing assistance to local governments, <br />Details are given in Sections 3,0,4,0 and 5,0 of the FDMP, <br />Outside Assistance <br />The following agencies and consultants can be contacted for assistance in the areas described. <br />1. Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) - Coordinate aerial photography (black and <br />white and infrared) with the CWCB, Either the District or CWCB should contact the <br />Office of Emergency Management (OEM) to inform them of the flooding situation and of <br />any aerial photography plans, in order to prevent any duplication of effort, Specifically <br />request OEM to determine whether or not other agencies are also considering aerial <br />photography, and to report their findings back prior to initiating the CWCB/District <br />photography, <br />Leonard Rice Consulting Water Engineers - LRCWE can provide people to take pictures <br />during and immediatdy following a flood, They also can provide on-the-ground <br /> <br />i <br /> <br />2, <br /> <br />3, <br /> <br />documentation of flood outlines and high water marks, <br />U,S, Geological Survey - the USGS can be requested to obtain high water and cross- <br />section data and devdop flood discharge estimates, although we do not have a formalized <br />commitment from them, Use LRCWE first. <br /> <br />\flood\waming\fdmpsop 1 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />(4/97) <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br />
