<br /> <br />e <br /> <br />I) <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />eJ/- 55 5" <br /> <br />TIIE URBAN DRAINAGE AND FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO, ~ SERIES OF 2001 <br />(Acceptance of Flood Hazard Area Delineation Report for <br />Lower Box Elder Creek Watershed) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board has previously established a Work Program for 1999 (Resolution No. 103, <br />Series of 1998) which included master planning and the delineation of flood hazard areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board has previously authorized the Executive Director to expend ftmds from the <br />Flood Hazard Area Delineation budget for the completion of flood hazard area delineation studies (Resolution <br />No.2, Series of 1999); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Executive Director has executed an agreement with Wright Water Engineers, Inc. for a <br />master planning and flood hazard area delineation study of the Lower Box Elder Creek Watershed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a report "Flood Hazard Area Delineation, for Lower Box Elder Creek Watershed" dated <br />September, 200 I has been completed by Wright Water Engineers, Inc,; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board has previously indicated its desire that the results of such studies be provided to <br />the local governments so as to assist such local governments in meeting the requirements of HB 1041. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br />1. The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District accepts the report <br />"Flood Hazard Area Delineation for Lower Box Elder Creek Watershed", September, 2001 and <br />recommends its use as a guide in future planning related to the floodplains contained therein, <br />2, The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District recommends that <br />Adams County, the City and County of Denver and City of Aurora adopt the report and regulate <br />the 100-year floodplains defined in the report, <br />3, The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District submit the report for <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board as stated in Section 37-60- <br />I 06( 1)( c), Colorado Revised Statutes, 1973, as flood hazard areas, those areas described as being <br />inundated by the 100-year flood. <br /> <br />DATED this <br /> <br />dJ7I- <br /> <br />,4 -#- ,/.,. <br />day of ~ <br /> <br />,2001 <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br />THE URBAN DRAINAGE AND <br />FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT <br /> <br />ATIE /l <br /> <br />? ~~cv{' / J G ~~ULl <br /> <br /> <br />" <br />,I( i~" /l <br />I <br />,) <br /> <br />) . ,.,(7,.) <br />l ,L'-J' -0' ~ <br />Chairman I <br /> <br /> <br />Iwrbxelderfuad090 t <br />
