The San Miguel River Corridor Restoration
Project includes:

. A sediment detention basin approximately 450 feet upstream of Pinon Street, that will consist of
an excavated pond with drop structures at the pond inlets and outlets on the San Miguel River
and a grade control structure at the outlet of Bear Creek. The sediment pond will have an
excavated volume of approximately 700 cubic yards.

. The whole project reach will be channelized in a step-pool pattern with several concave-bend
pools and numerous cover logs and boulder covers will be placed through out the reach,

All data required to complete our review of this request for a Conditional Letter of Map Revision
(CLOMR) were submitted with letters from Mr. C. Gary Wolff, P.E., Senior Engineer, Mussetter
Engineering, Inc,; Mr. Lance McDonald, Special Project Manager, Town of Telluride; and you.

We reviewed the submitted data and the data used to prepare the effective FIRM for your community and
determined that the proposed project meets the minimum floodplain management criteria of the NFIP.
The submitted existing conditions HEC-2 hydraulic computer model, dated March 23, 2000, based on
updated topographic information, was used as the base conditions model in our review of the proposed
conditions model for this CLOMR request.
