We realize that the regulations must be tailored to fit the <br />regulatory objectives and the manner that objectives are provided in <br />the development zoning processes. <br /> <br />In an overlay zoning district concept the proposed regulations <br />are limited to designated flood hazard areas as they apply to the <br />issuance of permits for construction and buildings. There are no <br />references to "safety" provisions as they apply to zoning and sub- <br />divisions. However, you may have appropriately covered such pro- <br />visions in other portions of the county's zoning resolutions.
